First, lest I get into mega trouble for lifting this awesome photo, here are the credits and proper home to my dream scheme: http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/restored-cottage-makeover-relocation-00417000068010/
These will be my colors for my tiny home - white and aqua. Oh my it is beautiful....I'm in love. I do have a dark wood floor, but it will work. The walls throughout are tongue and groove, they will look beautiful when painted. My boys differ with me on that viewpoint.

Here is the kitchen and Living Room reality:

See the bucket tied to a ribbon coming out the window in the loft? That is the child's lego lifter. Pretty ingenious, I thinks.

Bedroom - the mattress is still on the floor as we have an antique bed, and must have it cut to size (Jordan Bedding will do the dastardly deed). Also, our 'office' is in our closet. Our closet is in the hall. It all makes total sense, you'd have to be here to get it :-)

See this cool 6 foot mirror? I pulled it from a dumpster! I do not recommend dumpster diving (insurance purposes, he he) but this was worth it. It was from a clothing store that was remodeling. I added some trim and stain, and voila!

Here is the bathroom:

and our WALK IN CLOSET (really!) just off the bath:

But remember, it WILL look like this (with the exception of the claw foot tub):

That is amazing that your little home is 320 sq.ft.! And I thought our house was small! I love, LOVE, love your home! The potential is all there, and I love the sweet touches you have already added! I can see you have a great sense of style by your pictures. I can also easily see your home looking like your inspirational picture.:)
I also checked out the other link you gave me. Her pictures are beautiful, even if I can't read what she is saying! :) I also looked at her bedroom pictures, where both the ceiling and walls were wood plank wainscoting and noticed they were very similar to your walls! It would be so easy to get this look by painting your wainscoting, and think that would look fantastic! There is something about painted wood that just says "cottage"!
I, too, love the grays and whites of the Swedish look, and could picture this in your home! Your floors are beautiful, by the way. If you wanted to make them lighter, and you don't want to paint them, you could put white or sisal rugs over them here or there, and I think that the contrast would look wonderful! :)
About the wood walls: You don't even have to do the same thing in every room. If your family is dubious about painting the wood, you could always take on one room and see how it looks, see what they think! You never know, they may change their mind! :) Are you leaning toward painting them white?
All in all, I am loving what I see, and admit to being a little jealous of both the inside and outside of your sweet little home! :) I cannot wait to see what you do with it!
Here's a question for you: how are you going to add the grays that you like? I am working through this dilemma in our living room right now, and have thought of a few things. I have a creamy white on the walls, and the gray works well with that, but I want to add that light brownish linen color to the mix, and am trying to strike a balance! I am working on a post right now on the living room with pictures of what it looks like now...I would love to bounce ideas off of each other, if you'd like! So after you see it, if you have any ideas, please do share! :)
I hope you have a great weekend!
Blessings,
Jenni

P.S. Thanks also for entering our giveaway! :)
What an adorable home!
Greetings! I am your newest Follower! I, too, live in a very small house. I found you through the Tiny House Blog. LOVE your home! It's going to look pretty in the blue, love that color. I have accents of it in my kitchen. (See my blog to see my latest post!) Here's a 'saying' that I think you will like: "A small home can hold as much happiness as a big home." :)
Best regards,
Gloria
Hi, I found you through the Tiny House Blog and I love your home and the color scheme that you have chosen. I too have painted half my house in aqua, it is a very relaxing color.
I also own the same books that you have in your office and we have been trying to simplify, simplify, simplify for the last 5 years.
Thank you for your kind comment that your left us on our big announcement article in the Tiny House Blog.

I just now saw this~That's awesome...LOVE it!
Love your blog! Recently my fiance & I decided to rent a 320 square foot guest house to live in after marriage =). Should be an adventure. I also love that you & your husband were missionaries in South America. I spent some time in Argentina doing missions work myself.
I am wondering, what is the size of your bedroom and your bed? Are the bed and dresser the only pieces of furniture in the bedroom?
We plan to have Scott build our home for the family of three. We decided that paying a mortgage and maintaining a larger home was not worth the stress. We want to be completely debt free! I am ordering mine in Feb once we get a plan down.
Yay! I am so happy for you! You are going to love it! Scott has some new trailers now that allow you to have a taller second story than we do. This is the only thing I am not 100% enchanted with - my son is getting taller, and he needs more space.

Hi!
My wife and I have been looking for a while at tiny houses and we both agree yours and it's layout is the best one for us, by far. We are considering building something like your house, but we live in Canada, and we have rather serious concerns about insulating and venting moisture from such a small space in winter. To your knowledge, are there any such modern houses built or delivered to Canada as full-time dwellings? We've been looking online at tiny houses and have yet to see any in Canada and I suspect it might be that they don't do so well in northern climes. We'd appreciate anything you might know on this question.
Thanks in advance. I look forward to reading through your blog. Wonderful work you've done with your home. Bravo.
Sincerely,

I love your home it's the perfect size. Im in interested in knowing how do you pick up and move your home if it's not on wheels? cost?
Actually it is on wheels! Here is where you can see it being delivered: http://www.320squarefoothome.com/p/our-cottages.html
Do you mean the cost to move it? We will need a special permit, but my understanding is that it will not be very expensive, just need permission to move it because of the width - 10 feet. As far as pulling it, just a regular 3/4 ton truck will do it, as you can see in the photos in the link above.
I know I'm behind times, looking at the dates on the post but I just love your home, it looks perfect for me. My daughter is 16 so i have 2 years before she graduates and moves out and as I think of my retirement years, I see myself simplifying and letting go of a lot of "stuff" it just seems to accumulate so easily. I've watched other videos on tiny homes and they just seem so primitive and a little less desirable. Yours seems to fit a reality I could easily like.
I'm just curious how someone can get started building a tiny home like yours, I'm in west virginia and I've done web researches on tiny homes and don't see any companies near me, I know I couldn't build it myself (trust me i'm not good with a hammer) so I'm wondering how I can get one built for me? How much would it cost. Is your house on the grid or off(electric, water cable) ??? so many questions! one major one i'm curious about is, what bout storms, can you anchor the houses if you plan to stay permanently? I think that'd be my biggest fear is a major thunderstorm coming through and wiping out my home. We had one last June that had 60/70 mph winds which knocked out power in most of the state and downed trees and power lines so this seems like if the house is on trailers it'd be easily blown over? Sorry I'm rambling on. I'd be so interested in chatting about your home, please feel free to email me if you want at msfuroza@yahoo.com
