Give Away from Ramsign!

I read about this on The Old Painted Cottage I adore cottages, and hers is definitely worthy of adoration. You can see her beautiful home HERE

I am shamelessly blogging about this GIVEAWAY posted on her blog on the 19th of November. I want one of these signs for my little cottage! 911 requires numbers, and all I have found at big box places are tacky stick on signs. I did a mock-up of my little home with the Highlander Sign:

This is called the highlander:

The Metropolitan:

The Arrowhead:

The Engelhardt:

And the Lighthouse:

This is what I am afraid of

How could I be so afraid of white? I love blogs like Dreamy Whites and Paint Me White but I am unable to duplicate this in my own home. I still love the look:

Very pretty, but I am more of a creamy white girl. These photos are from HERE Check out their site!

Tiny Houses - Why?

I have a son, and husband, 320 sq feet is great for us. Dee Williams, tiny house advocate, speaks very eloquently about why we make these decisions. Enjoy!

It is halfway there!

I did it! I just DID it! I painted away my macho, knotty pine, deer wood, antler needing living room! In defense of nearly 99.99999999999999999% of all men, knotty pine can be very pretty - JUST NOT IN MY LIVING ROOM!! :)

So first, to FULLY appreciate the transformation, here WAS my living room:

NOW, see, even tiny homes can be pretty.....

A little note about the beautiful original painting above - my talented sister-in-law, Janis Wylie, is the artist. More of her work can be seen here: Janis Wylie Gallery

But it is not finished, this is a pretty shade of blue, called Sea Glass, that is going on the ceiling next week-end.

Media Fast - WHAT?

We do not have a TV, or cable. It has been almost two years, and I love it. Poor hubby really misses his NBA, but he gets an internet fix every now and then. I do admit to blog hopping - I LOVE decorating blogs, in particular. I justify this by the money (and space!) saved by not purchasing decorating magazines :)

This is why this particular topic was of interest as it appeared in 'Apartment Therapy':

Sounds like a GREAT idea! Can I do it?
