I am READY. Here is the before:
It really was not all that bad. It was a warm, toasty brown formica. I really like granite, but have been resisting UPGRADE FEVER. So today I prepped and primed:
and now it looks like this:
I am amazed at how well it turned out, so smooth. This is actually Krylon paint for painting plastic. I am using it as a primer over which I will apply the stainless steel paint. I think it is going to work!

Oh, I can't wait to see it!! Actually, to me, it looks nice in white, and it looked good in brown too, LOL! I can't wait to see the stainless steel though. Good for you! Great idea!

I have a very similar granite look laminate in my kitchen .... And lately have been wishing for something less patterned .... But I don't think I'm as brave as you to paint over it!
